What is the FAR-131 clinical research study?
Clinical research studies help to determine whether experimental treatments, or
new ways of using existing treatments, can improve the treatment of diseases. Participants
in cancer clinical research studies are actively contributing to advance cancer
research that may help other patients in the future.
The FAR-131 clinical research study is investigating whether the investigational
drug MORAb-003 (farletuzumab) is safe and effective when given in combination with
carboplatin and taxane for women who have platinum-sensitive epithelial ovarian
cancer that relapsed between 6 and 24 months after first-line treatment with a platinum-containing
chemotherapy regimen. The goal of this research study is to learn if carboplatin
and taxane, chemotherapy drugs that are often used to treat ovarian cancer, work
better alone or when given with farletuzumab. This clinical research study is sponsored
by the pharmaceutical companies Morphotek and Eisai.
Thank you for your interest in the FAR-131 study. At this time we are no longer recruiting patients for this study.
